Superbowl Side Dishes (Ranch Sausage Stars)
Ready for the Superbowl?? Here is this delicious superbowl appetizer, ranch sausage stars. There’s something kind of awesome about ranch. I do not at all understand when people don’t like it. It’s actually what got me to eat salad finally. I resisted the whole salad thing until I was in…

High school!! Can you believe that? But at one point  I was really hungry and we were all on vacation at the beach. We headed to a restaurant for dinner and not only had it taken quite a while to get to the restaurant but once we arrived it was super slow service. My mom had ordered a side salad with her clam chowder and I was so hungry I was desperate. I asked her if I could just have a crouton and she said, “if you try the salad too!” I carefully, and half whining stuck my fork in that awful, crunchy, watery, romain lettuce, stabbed a huge, buttery crouton and delicately dipped it in the ranch so I could say I’d done it even though there was only a little dab on there.

And it was good.

It was creamy.

And I had discovered a new love, croutons and ranch. The lettuce wasn’t bad either and over the next few years I learned that I actually love salad and ranch! Which has nothing to do with these ranch sausage stars, but you should still make them because hello, RANCH baby!
