Oh my holy spring cleaning.
I consider myself a clean person, even if the house isn’t always “picked up” at different times during the day. I’m not a crazy person, but I do believe that a clean home is more happy and peaceful. I like to do the regular cleaning, and then throughout the month I’ll tackle different things like baseboards, ceiling fans etc.
Once spring hits I really get into the cleaning. I mean, I clean everything. I like to air everything out, get rid of the bad air and germs, and start the spring off fresh and bright. I clean out the closets, getting rid of old clothes, the drawers, cupboards, baseboards, vents, fans, blinds, etc, etc. It feels great to de-junk, and get everything super clean.
I know it’s quite the task to tackle, but two or three days devoted to working hard leads to us feeling so good in our home for the next few months. I really can’t express how much more peaceful and relaxing a clean home is. I bet some of you think the mess doesn’t bother you, but it does weigh you down more than you realize.
Here’s the problem: I have MAJOR allergies. Name it, and I’m probably allergic. It is torture to dust and especially to spring clean. I sneeze my head off for days, and then it turns into a sinus infection. WITHOUT FAIL. Every darn time. Except this year.
I started my spring cleaning yesterday, and while I still have to tackle one closet and the pantry, I’m pretty much done. This year I was asked by BlogHer and Similasan to try something a little different for my allergies, Similasan’s Nasal Allergy Relief. I was sent some to try out and I started off my cleaning by using some of this nasal mist and then again throughout the cleaning as needed.
If you know me, you know nothing works with my allergies, and while this did not “cure” my allergies it did control my symptoms.
I realize not many nasal sprays are worth it, but I am so grateful to not only have made it through cleaning, but I did not get sick after all of that spring cleaning. Not at all. Love that!
The nasal mist is homeopathic, which is awesome, and I have a few neighbors who will be so excited to hear that. It works with your own body to relieve the symptoms like itchy, runny, sneezy noses, post nasal drip, etc.
Similasan Nasal Allergy Relief nasal mist is chemical and preservative free, and it offers relief without the worry of reliance. It is produced to the highest standards in Switzerland and uses only 100% all natural ingredients. Love that!! In fact, it’s one of the only medicated preservative free nasal decongestants available.
Want to buy your own? Similasan is available at your local Walgreens.
