#Grilled Pineapple with brown sugar butter. Perfection all summer long with only 3 ingredients! ohsweetbasil.com_-4

My husband believes that Tucanos makes the best grilled pineapple. Or, he did. And truth be told, they do make some pretty darn delicious pineapple, but this one is certainly just as amazing. In fact with the brown sugar butter could it really be anything but amazing? Butter, mmmmmmmmm. Alright, I absolutely agree that it’s a little wrong to slather a fresh, delicious on it’s own fruit with butter, but let’s be honest no one is complaining. Anyway, we go to Tucanos every year for my husband’s birthday (we actually go to Texas Roadhouse every year for mine too), and although we’ve actually found an even better Brazilian joint, this one is just tradition. And less expensive actually. We usually go with our darling friends, Dallin and Savannah. We introduced them back on this post for Citrus Lime Tilapia with Honey Balsamic drizzle. YUM.

Anyway, that Tucanos grilled pineapple is pretty wonderful, but it was definitely time to crack out the grill and make our own. Summer is not our only grilling time, no we are year rounders. Even when it’s snowing we will run back and forth to the grill. It’s a little silly, but we love that smoky delicious flavor that comes from a grill. And we have a pretty sweet grill from Lowes. It’s amazing. It’s the bomb diggity. It has changed our lives for the better and although this recipe proves nothing it has actually helped us to eat healthier. Seriously, we love to throw a simple breast of chicken and fresh veggies on the grill. It’s perfect.

Our favorite #recipe to #grill all summer is this grilled pineapple with brown sugar butter ohsweetbasil.com

Like I said, the ingredient list is simple, basic and almost ridiculous with how easy it is. Brown sugar, melted butter, and pineapple. By the way, we don’t core our pineapple when we grill it. It makes it a little more firm and easier to grill when you leave the core in.

Mix the butter and brown sugar together, grill the pineapple on a medium high flame, turning once until it is fragrant, and beginning to show grill marks, remove and then immediately brush each side with with the butter mixture. Fall in love!
