Our favorite no bake cheesecake oreo banana pudding recipe ohsweetbasil.com

Have you ever heard of Not Yo Mama’s Banana Pudding? It’s a Paula Deen recipe and it is delicious! We also love our famous dulce de leche banana cream pie based off of that recipe. But really, it’s fantastic. Well, this cheesecake oreo banana pudding is the next big thing. I wonder, why don’t we choose to eat more pudding?

Our favorite no bake cheesecake oreo banana pudding recipe ohsweetbasil.com

We tend to be very cookie, brownie and ice cream oriented people. Well, Cade is an ice cream lover, let’s be honest. But we never really make pudding. It definitely is something we need to change because there’s something so delicious about pudding that we quickly forget or choose to ignore because baked goods get all the hype.

But this pudding is even better than her friends. This one is a rich, cheesecake flavor with golden oreos. Oh, sweet mercy. It is divine! Our kids just love it and we do too!! We just can’t wait to try out different variations. My mind is totally going crazy with them. Oh, and I just thought of another so please excuse me while I jot it down before I forget.

Can Banana Pudding Be Frozen?

Pudding, is safe to be stored in the freezer.

Can You Eat Bananas If The Peel Is Black?

When a banana is overripe, or has been stored in the refrigerator, the peel will turn black and they may not look very appetizing.

When stored in the refrigerator, the peel may turn black but the banana may be just the perfect ripeness, and quite good to eat.

Even overripe bananas are very good for our health.

An overripe banana is rich in antioxidants, which are beneficial in preventing or delaying cell damage in one’s body.

Its a lot simpler if you just take a bite of banana and eat a vanilla oreo – if you close your eyes you will think it is the real thing (and always fresh and crunchy).

    1. Sweet Basil says:

haha, sounds like a good option!

I never comment on recipes but I have to this time. Was about to make our favorite banana pudding for our Memorial Day BBQ but didn’t have enough vanilla pudding or wafers. But had Golden Oreos, Cheesecake pudding and everything else and thought about swapping them for my vanilla ingredients. Then decided to look on Pinterest for an alternative. This is the first recipe I found and I have everything I need to make it and it is almost identical to what I had planned to try anyway! I am so excited to try it in the next 15 minutes! Thanks for posting and saving me a lot of hassle! The recipe I had planned to use for my usual banana pudding even calls for condensed milk. I can’t believe how lucky this post and me finding it was! Have a great Memorial Day and don’t forget to remember those who fought to ensure the freedoms we all enjoy today!

    1. Sweet Basil says:

Thanks Melissa! I hope it was great!

I so want to make this but I am scared that the bananas will turn dark as I will bring making it the day before. Do they?

    1. Sweet Basil says:

They hold up pretty well under the pudding but they will darken slightly.

  6. Meredith says:

Can I make this the night before an afternoon BBQ?

    1. Sweet Basil says:

Absolutely. It holds up quite well however if you don’t like the cookies to break down you’ll want to make and serve asap. I love banana puddings and the fact that the oreos aren’t crunchy the next day doesn’t bother me at all.

I found your page on another website and made this last night. It is soon delicious! I think I may make it again for my office. I did have a lot of leftover filling though, and I’m pretty sure I’m using the same size bowl as you. I wonder if I did something wrong.

    1. Sweet Basil says:

      Hi Victoria,
I’ve wondered if that picture is deceiving, the bowl is actually larger than a regular glass bowl. I wish it had a darn measurement on it. Maybe I need to bust out the measuring tape. So happy you liked it though! We do too and it’s so simple!

    1. Sweet Basil says:

I don’t, I’m sorry. That’s not an area I know enough about to post the facts. I’m sure there’s an online calculator somewhere that would help. 🙂
