These quick and easy Italian Fajitas are made with flavorful Johnsonville sausages and are so fast to make on a busy week night!

How have we managed to never post a single fajitas recipe? I think it’s the overlooked Mexican dish as burritos and enchiladas are such a favorite, but that fresh grilled meat, sauteed peppers and onions and those big soft tortillas always hit the spot. The only issue I have is remembering to marinate the meat or season it up so it’s flavorful enough to carry the whole dish. The other night I decided to make Cade fajitas as he had mentioned how good they sounded but then I spaced it until dinner. I hate trying to last minute throw things together, but then I had an idea for quick and easy Italian fajitas…

It could have been kind of lame if we are being honest. I mean, Italian sausages with guacamole could have been odd, but instead it ended up being genius. You see, I totally just sliced the Johnsonville Hot Italian Sausage Links in half and grilled them on a grill pan then added a little cumin, coriander and chili powder at the end to give them a Mexican flair. You guys, forget chicken and steak, these things were awesome!

The sausages already had such great flavor built into them and they became kind of juicy and almost saucy being grilled up. We didn’t even worry about removing any meat from the casing as it just holds the sausages together and adds a nice bite. It took 15 minutes and dinner was done and everyone had multiple servings!

What is the Difference Between a Fajita and a Burrito?
Fajitas are very similar to burritos or enchiladas.
The difference is what is in a fajita.
Fajita means beef strips.
Fajitas are just strips of beef or chicken with chile, pimento, tomato and onion served with flour tortillas.
Burritos are made from flour tortillas and can have different stuffings, including rice, meat, beans, etc.
Can You Make Fajitas with Corn Torillas?
You couldn’t really make fajitas with corn tortillas.
Because of the number and type of things you would put in a fajita, it wouldn’t fit easily in a corn tortilla.
What is Guacamole?
Guacamole is an avocado-based dip, consisting of mashed avocado, lime juice, onion, tomatoes, chili peppers and seasonings.
